Ludovico Einaudi: Who Is He?

Ludovico Einaudi is an Italian pianist and composer with a unique sound. His compositions are reflective and dreamy, containing minimalist melodies that are simple and elegant. He creates moody atmospheres with his music, almost like watching the fog roll across the lake at sunrise.

When I was first introduced to Einaudi’s compositions, I loved them. But as time passed, my love and appreciation for his music have grown. His newest album, In a Time Lapse is no exception.

The sounds and timbre of his instruments on this album are more pronounced. His music paints the backdrop of so many scenes from movies. It is like seeing a movie with the music.

Listening to this album is almost an event because there are several layers of interesting sound effects throughout. It takes you on a journey and it is very well written and performed.
