Writer David Seidler was the story of King George VI. Lionel Logue and researched in the early 1980s presented, but the completion of a script back to wish the Queen Mother Elizabeth, the widow of George VI., in their lifetime. 2005, three years after her death, took Seidler work on The King’s Speech on again, worked the material but to a play. The piece was introduced in 2006 the producer Joan Lane. She saw in the script but rather a film drama, and ultimately realized a film version with former colleagues. For the production was obtained as the director of historic television films became known Tom Hooper, who was alerted by his mother on the unpublished play.

Once funding was secured by the Independent film by the UK Film Council, the shooting began on 13 November 2009. They ended on 17 January 2010. The post production was 31 August 2010 completed. On 4 September celebrated the film’s world premiere at the Telluride Film Festival in Colorado, USA. That same month, The King’s Speech was recorded at the Toronto International Film Festival with enthusiasm and won the audience award.

The film had on 16 February 2011 the Berlin Film Festival’s Premiere Germany. The official German and Austrian cinema release was on 17 February 2011, in the U.S., the movie came out in December 2010 and in Britain in January 2011 in the cinemas.

How Great is Our God — The title just says it all. I love this song for its simplicity and truth, and I think that Chris Tomlin, Ed Cash, and Jesse Reeves did a phenomenal job.
