This is the duet version (written for four hands). This is the original version of sheet music as composed by Hoagy Carmichael in the late 1930s (not a modified/arranged/easy version). Note it is rather different then the common version you’ve always heard played in scale C. As an amateur player, I made every attempt to play this accurately – with no changes to the sheet music on my part. I tried to play all embellishments accurately (accents, crescendos, loudness/softness symbols, etc). In the beginning, I had problems getting the tempo/speed consistent. I finally used a Dr. Beat metronome set to 130bpm to get a consistent tempo on the chord pattern – which should be very accurate. I opted not to play the entire piece twice per the “repeat” symbol near the end. Obviously, I couldn’t play all four hands at the same time. The chord pattern was recorded into my digital piano’s memory – then the melody was played during the video. The piano is a Yamaha P120. The sound for this video was recorded directly …

Just bought a keyboard, can already play a few songs but have never been ever to read sheet music and want to learn can someone please tell me how I know what not to key to play to the keyboard. I know the notes on the keyboard already just cant read them on the sheet music, like how do how I know what a c,d,e,f,g,a,b, looks like which one the one top? why are some upside down? Thanks
