I hope the last question is rhetorical.
And the difference it makes is, really, quite minimal whether people say R.I.P. or not. This is because it makes fuck all difference to her. It’s pointless. All it does is make you look like superstitious and foolish, and ruin an otherwise good song.

When this song first came out we said to ourselves now there is something “different” on the pop 40 radio stations her voice and music stuck out and was totally different and we even encouraged her comeback 2 years later too bad it turned out this way but we still have her music to remember her IMHO

All of you people who dig this chick, do not know music. When Layne Staley died, who here cared? He wasn’t some rich lost cause, he was an awesome artist that had problems. All of you want to call this woman original, but she wasn’t. She jacked Lauryn Hill. Grieve people, but don’t put people on a pedestal when they don’t belong there.

@Ziggybopper people can like Amy Whinehouse if they want. her death was just a bit more significant because she was a drug addict, it doesn’t mean that people appreciate her more than Layne Staley.

Amy DID go to rehab. Several times. People forget that. But she did it more her family than for herself. And when she did go, the public laughed at her and made jokes. And when she didn’t go, people scorned her.
