Woukd my save-game datafiles, music, movies, trophies and all that be deleted? I did read the deion, but i didnt get it Oh, might need to tell my problem? 2 Hours ago or so i was downloading WipEout from PS:store, because i bought Playstation Plus yesterday. Had to install a new file or something if i wanted to play WipEout. The download STOPPED after 4/100 %, so i turned the PS3 off.10 min later, i went on. BUT the loading screen stops.. @Dalekfry Sure, if you backed up your data you can copy it back to your console good as new
@SnakeEater7771 I would suggest trying to access the recovery mode and manually select Restore File system. Sometimes this works, don’t format your console unless it’s absolutely necessary.
@noboconos Unfortunately No, it cannot. The only way to restore deleted data is if you made a backup.
@mariosK1982 So you boot your cosnole and it shuts down automatically? does this happen as soon as you boot or a little while after? Maybe your heatsink has malfunctioned and your console is getting very hot and it manually shuts it’s self down to avoid further malfunction. Can you hear the fan spinning?
Sounds a lot like a YLOD the yellow light only flashes for about one second so it can be hard to catch. I have a video when mine got the YLOD check it out and see if it’s similar to your issue

i got the ps3 60 Gb, and when im starting it, it says that something had to be solved.
when that is done, it restarts himself.
than it’s says that i did not put the ps3 off with the controller, so i just clicked it off. than it cannot read any things, the circels are loading for ages but i cant see a shet. he doesnt load the cd anymore, only thing i can do now is watching dvd’s on it. i hope someone can help me. ecuse for my bad english.

@Janglez311 Yupp its not reading it at all , i put the games in and then as soon i put it in the circle goes around and around. The game is supposed to load and come up but it doesnt at all
Hey my problem is my sister was playing games on my PS3 but then i tried playing modern warfare 2 i tried the recovery mode i chose option 3 it deleted ALL my settings,trophies,PSN items i bought. I spent almost 100$ on the PSN cards so I need to know if theres anyway i can get all my stuff back,thanks. Please reply
@makeme522 Yes, you can get all your content back. What you need to do is create a new user, log into the new profile and select sign up for PlayStation network then choose use existing account and enter your profiles email and password then log in to psn. Afterwords go to the PlayStation store in the upper right hand corner you’ll see download list go down the liust and click the items you’ve purchased and they will redownload to your console.

Now this is my problem. After you turn on the playstation 3 and push the on button. The light turns green, then the ps3 shut right back down. Please reply.

I have a motorstorm 80gb bundle with backwards compatibility. I got ylod apparently due to firmware update 3.40 a few days ago. I cannot do this if I got ylod? do you know of any way to repair a bricked ps3 due to firmware update, I cannot find any info anywhere and I don’t want to lose my ps3 with backward compatibility
Hey, Janglez. I’m not sure if my problem is what you’re talking about (I’m that clueless), but my diskdrive doesn’t ever recognize a game has been inserted. For instance, when I’m able to get the disk to go into the drive, a razor or crunchy-type sound occurs and nothing atcually happens. What might be the problem?
@Sudhish86 No doubt, Sounds like a Disc drive malfunction, you really only have two options You could buy a new drive on the internet on ebay or elsewhere it will run you about 60-80$ and replace it by yourself or you could send it to Sony and get a Refurbished model for about $120-160 If you say it’s making crunchy sounds and it’s failing to read media it’s most likely both the blu ray drive and lens that have malfunctioned.
hey, i would like to know if this fixes my PS3 cause it doesnt read my discs
it does but when it does i can only play the game fore like 10 mins then it will freeze then it goes like that over and over again but after it freezes it wont read the disc. so please, does it? and which one do i choose to fix this problem?

i have a question……. i got a ps3 from my friend and when i first turn it on it has to do a system update(dont know what it is) and it will either: freeze at some point in the update or go all the way to 69% and have a error. unfortunately i didnt get the error code and it wont let me do it again for some reason. Any tips??
hey im desesperate of this problem im happy playing mw2 online and then my ps3 starts giving a evry loud fan sound and then it like 10min my ps3 turns off while im playing and it starts giving me a red beeb pls help me i didnt eat lunch for 9months to save money and buy my ps3 pls help me im Desesperate
any help would be awsome. i turn on my ps3 fan kicks on light goes green then it shuts off no blinking red light just shuts off an goes back to solid red. any ideas??? please help
